THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!!

I am in no way responsible for you failing to read this and bricking your Gigabeat.

This GBSYSTEM.zip has helped improve my boot time by basically getting rid of the OF(original firmware) and just having nearly empty files. It has not improved boot time for everyone but it has for most. Try at your own risk.

1. Make multiple copies of your GBSYSTEM folder and put them all over your computer. Why? So if dual-booting ever gets supported or you decide to go back to the OF you can.

2. Extract the GBSYSTEM.zip onto your Gigabeat.

3. Double check that you still have the file FWIMG01.DAT under your GBSYSTEM/FWIMG folder.

4. You can test out your boot now. If you have problems ejecting you did something wrong.

5. If you want a tad bit of more space, you can delete everything inside of GBSYSTEM EXCEPT the FONTS and FWIMG folders.

Once again!!! I am in no way responsible for anything you do and I am not forcing you to do this.
